Russ Flynn's 'A More Perfect Union' - June 3rd, 930pm


A More Perfect Union is a New York-based instrumental quintet led by bassist and composer Russ Flynn. The group's repertoire consists primarily of Flynn's compositions, and ranges from overtly modern minimalism to angst-drenched alt-rock slug.

Trumpeter Carlos Abadie has teamed with up-and-coming tenor saxophonist Joe Sucato to co-lead a quintet whose members include Jon Lefcoski, Jason Stewart, and Lawrence Leathers. Originally inspired by the music of Horace Silver, Abadie/Sucato Inc. has been introducing original music into their mix of classics. They have already been featured on the bandstands of Smalls, Fat Cat, and Bargemusic and are looking forward to performing for a widening audience.
