Hot off their successful premiere of Genes and Jazz: The Music of Cell Biology II last month at the Smithsonian, the core members of the Jacob Varmus Quintet will perform for the first time live at Bar 66.
The quartet including Varmus (trumpet and cornet), Toru Dodo (keyboards), Kevin Thomas (bass), and drummer Brian Woodruff will take the opportunity to showcase their empathic rapport with some classic repertoire and some unexpected twists.
